KI-RIN (Japanese for Giraffe), originally from Chinese Mythology (and the Monster Manual): aerial creatures that dwell amongst the clouds and behind the wind. KI-RIN is said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a wise sage or an illustrious ruler. Is said to surf, also.
